This craft is especially great for spring themes, Easter activities, or animal-themed lessons.

Materials Needed

Double-sided colored paper (any color you like)

White paper

Black paper

Pink paper

Orange paper

Green paper

Pencil

Scissors

Glue

Black marker or pen

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create the Handprint Base

Take a sheet of double-sided colored paper. We chose yellow, but children can pick any color they like.

Place your hand on the paper and carefully trace around it with a pencil.

Cut out the handprint.

Fold the middle finger backward — this will help shape the bunny’s head.

2. Make the Eyes

Cut out eye pieces from:

White paper (eye base)

Black paper (pupil)

Small white highlights

Glue the pieces together, then attach the finished eyes between the index and ring fingers.

3. Add Ears & Nose

From pink paper, cut:

Inner ear shapes

A small triangular nose

Glue the ear details onto the index and ring fingers. Attach the nose just below the eyes.

Draw the bunny’s face and whiskers using a black marker.

4. Create the Carrot

Cut a carrot shape from orange paper.

From green paper, cut a rectangle and snip it into thin fringe strips. Glue this to the carrot top.

Draw carrot texture lines with a marker.

5. Shape the Bunny

Fold the index and little finger inward to form the bunny’s paws.

Draw small paw details. Add hind paws at the bottom of the handprint.

Glue the carrot so it looks like the bunny is holding it.

Your cute Handprint Bunny is ready!
