How to Make the First Birthday Paper Crown (Using the Black-and-White Template)
You will need:
- White cardstock (for durability)
- Printer
- Colored pencils or markers
- Scissors
- Glue stick or double-sided tape
Instructions:
Print the Template
Download and print the black-and-white crown template for either the boy or girl design (or both!) on sturdy white cardstock.

Color the Crown
Use colored pencils or markers to bring the design to life. Color the picture of the little boy with balloons or little girl with balloons, as well as the large number 1 and the word BIRTHDAY.

Cut Out the Pieces
Carefully cut along the edges of the front crown piece and the extra strip. The extra strip will help adjust the crown to fit different head sizes.

Assemble the Crown
Attach the extra strip to one end of the front crown piece using glue or double-sided tape. Wrap the crown around the wearer’s head to find the right size, then secure the other end.

Wear and Celebrate!
Your colorful First Birthday Paper Crown is ready! This crown can be worn by the birthday boy or girl, as well as by parents, grandparents, or even all the party guests for a coordinated, festive look.

Why You’ll Love It:
