- White paper
- Colored cardstock (black or any color you like)
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- White yarn (or any color you prefer)
- Pencil (for tracing the template)
Instructions
Start by printing our free PDF mummy template on white paper.

Carefully cut out all the pieces — the mummy’s body and two eyes.

Use the body template to trace and cut out the shape on colored cardstock. We chose black cardstock, but you can use any color you like.

Glue on the eyes.

Now it’s time to wrap! Take white yarn (or any color you prefer) and start wrapping it around the mummy’s head, arms, legs, and body. To begin, secure one end of the yarn to the back with tape or glue.

Wrap tightly and evenly, making sure the eyes remain visible through the yarn. When you’re done, tie off the end of the yarn on the back of your craft.

This project isn’t just fun — it also helps kids improve hand–eye coordination, fine motor skills, and creativity. Wrapping the yarn requires concentration and patience, making it a great activity for young children to develop focus.
Once finished, your adorable yarn mummy can be used as a Halloween decoration, classroom project, or gift tag. You can even hang it on your wall or add it to a Halloween display board.

This easy and creative craft is sure to bring smiles — and maybe a little spooky charm — to your Halloween season!
