Color the Pieces
Use colored pencils, markers, or crayons to decorate the soles, sneaker bodies, and tongues. Let your imagination run wild with fun patterns and bright colors.

Cut Out the Pieces
Carefully cut along the outlines of all the parts.

Reinforce with Cardboard
For extra sturdiness, glue the sneaker soles and body pieces to cardboard, then cut them out again. Keep the tongues as plain paper so they stay flexible.
Make Holes for the Laces
Punch or cut small holes along the marked spots on the sneaker body pieces.
Attach the Tongues
Glue each tongue to the inner side of the sneaker body pieces.

Lace the Sneakers
Thread in real shoelaces, colorful string, thick yarn, or thin ribbon. Practice tying them in bows or crisscross patterns.

Assemble the Sneakers
Once laced, glue the sneaker body to the sole.

Your bright and stylish paper sneakers are ready! This is a great craft for kids of all ages—it’s not only a fun creative project but also a playful way to learn and practice tying shoelaces.
