Materials You’ll Need

This craft requires only a few basic supplies:

• Printed template (preferably on thick white paper or cardstock)

• Scissors

• Colored pencils, markers, or paints (for the black-and-white version)

• Tape

• Wooden stick / straw / craft stick

Step-by-Step Instructions

Start by printing the template on thick white paper. Cardstock works best because it makes the aquarium sturdy and long-lasting.

If you selected the black-and-white version, let children color both the fish and the aquarium. This step adds a personal creative touch and makes each craft unique.

Carefully cut out the fish and the aquarium.

Next, cut along the dotted line on the aquarium. This slit will allow the fish to move.

Attach a stick to the back of the fish using tape.

Insert the stick through the slit in the aquarium.

Now comes the magic — move the stick gently, and the fish appears to swim inside the aquarium!

An original and interactive craft is ready to enjoy.
