Materials Needed:
- The free printable template (download and print it)
- Double-sided colored paper (for the body)
- White paper (for the feathers, beak, and eye)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Colored pencils, markers, or paints
Instructions:
Print the Templates
Print the peacock body template on any double-sided colored paper. Print the feathers, beak, and eye on white paper.
Color the Details
Use colored pencils, markers, or paints to color in the feathers and the beak.
Cut Out All the Pieces
Carefully cut out the peacock body, eye, beak, and all the feathers.
Create the Tail
Take the rectangular part of the peacock body and fold it into a neat accordion (fan fold).
Then fold the entire accordion in half and glue the inner sides together to form a fan-like tail. Now you have a gorgeous peacock tail!
Assemble the Peacock
Glue the eye and beak to the peacock’s head.
Decorate the head with three colored feathers.
Add the remaining feathers to the tail. For a better effect, fold each feather in half before gluing so they fit nicely into the tail’s folds.
Your bright and stunning paper peacock is now complete! This simple yet elegant craft is perfect for home, school, or even party decorations.
