How to Make the Snake Craft (Using the Black-and-White Template):
Print the Template
Download and print the black-and-white version of the snake template on white printer paper.

Color the Pieces
Use colored pencils, markers, or paints to bring your snake to life. Get creative with your color choices or follow traditional snake patterns like green and yellow!

Cut Out the Shapes
Carefully cut out all the parts of the snake: the head, tail, two body sections, and the tongue.

Prepare the Base
Use a sheet of white or colored cardstock as the background for your craft.
Attach the Snake’s Head
Glue the bottom part of the snake’s head directly to the center of your cardstock.

Then, to create a 3D effect, make a small paper ring by gluing the ends of a paper strip together. Attach this ring between the top part of the snake’s head and the cardstock. This makes the head pop out from the page!

Add the Tail
Glue the snake’s tail onto the cardstock. Again, use a paper ring behind the tip of the tail for a raised 3D look.

Attach the Snake’s Body
Take the two body parts and fold back the small flaps/tabs on the sides.

First, glue the larger body part by applying glue only to the tabs. This gives the body a rounded appearance.

Repeat with the smaller body part, gluing only the tabs so it stands out in 3D.

Glue the Tongue
Finally, glue the tongue into place under the snake’s smiling face.

Done!
Your 3D Snake Craft is complete! This colorful and slightly silly snake is a great project for preschoolers and elementary kids. It also makes a fantastic classroom decoration or a fun addition to a jungle-themed lesson.
