Instructions:
Print the free template on white paper.

Carefully cut out all the pieces — the body, nose, tail, and two eyes.

Using the template, trace and cut all the parts from colored paper. We used orange paper for the body and tail to make a ginger cat, and black paper for the nose.

Glue the two eyes onto the head area of the body piece.

Attach the small black triangle nose under the eyes, right in the center.

With a black marker, draw the cat’s face, whiskers, and paws.

Fold the body piece along the marked lines to create two bends. Apply glue to the folded edge and stick it to the base near the paws. This forms a loop-shaped cat with legs.

Finally, glue the tail to the back of the cat.

Your adorable paper cat craft is ready!

Educational Benefits:
This project helps children practice scissor skills, hand–eye coordination, and following step-by-step instructions. Coloring, cutting, and gluing parts stimulate imagination and improve attention to detail. Assembling the cat encourages spatial thinking and patience, while decorating it allows kids to express their creativity.

How to Use:
The finished cat craft can be used as a cute decoration for a kids’ room, classroom, or art corner. It’s also perfect for storytelling activities, puppet shows, or as a gift made by children for friends and family.
