Looking for a fun and simple Halloween craft for kids? Try this Easy Paper Spider Craft! Our free PDF printable template includes all the pieces you need to make a cute paper spider sitting on a web.
The template can be used in two ways: you can print it on colored cardstock and cut out the parts directly, or print it on white cardstock and color the pieces with pencils, markers, or paints. If you choose to color the template, make sure to print it on thick white cardstock so the paper is sturdy enough for crafting.

We’ll show you how to make this adorable Halloween spider step by step:
Print the free PDF template on white paper.

Cut out the pieces — the web base, the spider’s body (a circle), leg, and two eyes.

Use the cut pieces as patterns to trace and cut the parts from colored cardstock. We used black cardstock, but you can pick any color you like!

Wrap white yarn around the web base. You can create a specific pattern or wrap it randomly — both will look great! You can also choose yarn in any color you prefer.

Assemble the spider: glue the eight legs to the circle and then attach the two eyes.

Finally, glue the finished spider onto the yarn web.

Your Halloween paper spider craft is ready! You can hang it on the wall, window, or refrigerator as a spooky decoration.

Why this craft is great for kids:
Making this paper spider helps children develop fine motor skills, hand–eye coordination, and creativity. Kids practice cutting, gluing, and wrapping yarn — all while learning to follow step-by-step instructions. It’s also a great way to talk about spiders, webs, and Halloween traditions.

How to use the finished craft:
The completed spider craft makes a wonderful Halloween decoration. It can be hung in the classroom, used in a Halloween party setup, or displayed at home to add a fun and slightly spooky touch to your holiday decor.
