- Colored paper
- Cardstock (for the sole)
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Colored pencils, markers, or paints (optional for coloring version)
Instructions:
1. Print the Template
Start by downloading and printing the free paper slippers template. The PDF includes:
Slipper parts (sole, insole, strap)

Decorative elements (flowers, bows, stars)

You can choose to color the pieces directly on the paper or use the template to trace and cut them from colored paper and cardstock.
2. Cut Out the Template Pieces
Carefully cut out the slipper parts: soles, insoles, and the upper straps. Then select your favorite decorative elements — in our example, we chose flowers — and cut those out as well.

3. Prepare Colored Paper Pieces
Use the template pieces to trace and cut from colored materials:
- Soles from sturdy cardstock
- Insoles from colored paper
- Straps from colored paper
- Flowers: cut out two sets of petals and a round center for each flower

4. Assemble the Slippers
Glue the strap onto the insole, making sure it arches slightly to give it a 3D look.

Attach the insole to the cardstock sole.

Assemble the flowers by gluing the center onto the petals. Gently bend each petal inward to create a dimensional effect.

Glue one flower onto the center of each strap for a fun, bright look.

And that’s it — your easy paper slippers are complete! These colorful flip-flops are a fantastic summer craft and are sure to delight kids of all ages.
